Showcasing Hong Kong’s Clinical Trial Strengths at Asia Summit on Global Health 2026

The Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trial Institute (GBAICTI) participated in the Asia Summit on Global Health held from 11–12 May 2026, joining global healthcare leaders and industry stakeholders to exchange insights and explore opportunities for collaboration in advancing innovation across the life sciences sector.

At the summit, GBAICTI actively engaged with participants through its exhibition booth, fostering meaningful connections with regional and international partners. The event underscored Hong Kong’s unique position as a “superconnector”, facilitating seamless linkage between Chinese Mainland and global markets, and reinforcing its role in driving cross-boundary clinical research and pharmaceutical development.

GBAICTI’s Chief Executive Officer, Professor Bernard Cheung, spoke at the GoGlobal CONNECT Series session titled “Hong Kong as a Superconnector to Empower Global Expansion of Pharmaceutical Enterprises”, where he shared the Institute’s vision and mission to promote clinical trials and strengthen Hong Kong’s competitiveness as a leading hub for clinical research. In addition, Director of the Institute’s Real-World Study and Application Centre, Professor Ching-Lung Cheung, participated in a few exchange sessions, highlighting Hong Kong’s strategic advantages and its role in enabling efficient market access and cross-boundary collaboration.

GBAICTI remains committed to strengthening partnerships, promoting Hong Kong’s superconnector role, and advancing a dynamic, globally connected clinical trial ecosystem across the Greater Bay Area and beyond.
