The Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trial Institute (GBAICTI), The Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trials Center (BAY TRIAL) and Health Hope Pharma (HHP) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic collaboration framework for advancing new drug development and conducting international multi-centre clinical trials in Hong Kong and across the wider Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Under the “One Institute One Center” framework, GBAICTI, established and wholly owned by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and BAY TRIAL of the Shenzhen Municipality are dedicated to developing Hong Kong’s and GBA’s clinical trial ecosystem and facilitating multi-centre research across the region. HHP is a Hong Kong-headquartered, late clinical-stage oncology and ophthalmology biopharmaceutical company. Through this collaboration, the parties intend to jointly explore opportunities to accelerate the development of innovative therapeutics, while strengthening Hong Kong’s position as a regional hub for multi-centre clinical trials.
